春联的英语说法：

① 贴春联：Paste spring festival couplets

（其他的贴“福”字，窗花等等，都可以用paste表达哦。）

② 上联/下联：first line/second line

当然，也可以称作upper scroll/lower scroll（scroll表示卷筒，春联没有展开之前就是卷成纸卷的呀。）通常上下联都比较押韵（They are rhyming。）

③ 横批：春联顶上的4个字（four characters）

我们英语叫horizontal scroll，horizontal表示水平的哦，那跟他相对的垂直的我们可以说vertical哟。所以竖联（上联下联）可以统称为vertical scroll啦。）

④ 春联组成

对于上下联要有对称结构（parallel structures），而横批是两个竖联意思的总结与点睛之笔，通常是四字组合啦。（The horizontal scroll sums up the two lines ‘meaning, and it is usually a four-character phrase.）

⑤ 张贴时间

通常来讲，春联最好是年29（the 29th of lunar December，注意我们的阴历就是用lunar表示，比如说大年初一可以说the 1st of lunar January）那天张贴，时间选择下午一点到三点哦。

词的对仗有很严格的规定，如果左联上有一字，比如“天”。

右联就必须有个“地”，“雨”对“风”，“红”对“绿”。
