To be in the dog house. 受冷遇

来源:必克英语 2009-12-11

In English if someone is unpopular because they've done something wrong we can say ‘they're in the dog house’.

For example:

1. I was really in the dog house that day I met you in the Mexican restaurant.

2. I’m really in the doghouse with my boss.

3. I feel awful because we’re in the dog house since we came in this room.

Did you get it?

Please try to say it when you’re in the similar situation.

See you next time.
